Salmon River Central School District is proud to announce the completion of its new stadium with a lighted turf field. Community members are invited to come celebrate this milestone on Monday, Sept. 18, at 6:15 p.m.
On Monday, the turf will see its first game as the Salmon River Varsity Girls Soccer team takes on Lisbon Central at 6:30 p.m. Immediately before the game, members of the Salmon River administration and Board of Education will be present for a ceremonial ribbon cutting.
The new synthetic turf field at Salmon River was part of a larger $7.4 million capital project that voters approved in 2021. There was no new tax impact associated with this project.
Additional upgrades and enhancements associated with the capital project include a new community walking trail, a resurfaced track, new tennis, basketball and pickleball courts, and field improvements.
