ShamRockin' At The River

Clear your schedule for Saturday, June 7, 2025, as Salmon River proudly hosts its 2nd Annual ShamRockin’ at the River: Shamrock Community Day!

Prepare for a full day of excitement starting at 11 a.m., with activities designed for the whole family to enjoy. From the Shamrock Shuffle 5K walk/run/shuffle to a variety of engaging activities for kids, there’s something for everyone! Don’t forget to rock your shamrock green! And, of course, delicious food options will be plentiful throughout the day.

The event will take place on the main campus of Salmon River Central School, 637 County Road 1, Fort Covington, N.Y. 12937.

Activities

ShamRockin’ at the River has something for everyone! Check out our updated list of events and activities you can expect to see this year:

  • 5K Shamrock Shuffle
    • 11 a.m. registration, 11:30 a.m. race start at the Shamrock Memorial Fitness Trail
  • Adirondack Sky Center Star Lab
    • Shows every hour starting at 11 a.m.
  • Art Projects Craft Station
  • Bracelet Making Craft Station
  • Building Tours
    • Every hour starting at 1 p.m.
  • Bus Garage Scavenger Hunt
  • Craft Fair
    • 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the High School Cafeteria
  • Dunk Tank
  • Face Painting
  • Food Trucks
  • FFA Greenhouse Plant Sales
  • Kids’ Planting Project with FFA
  • Kickball
  • Mini Bike Course
  • Pickleball
  • River of Kindness Rock Painting with Sources of Strength
  • Show Choir Performance
    • 1 p.m. in the Auditorium
  • Sidewalk Chalk Craft Station
  • Volleyball Tournament
    • 10 a.m. in the High School Gym
  • Bounce Houses

BRING YOUR OWN TIE DYE

Don’t forget to bring something white, whether it be a clean white shirt, white socks, white shorts—you name it! Bring it and you can tie dye it.

Food

We are excited to provide many scrumptious food options from various vendors from around the North Country! See below for a list of the vendors so far:

Shamrock Shuffle 5K Walk/Run/Shuffle registration

Those who plan to participate in the Shamrock Shuffle 5K Walk/Run/Shuffle are invited to register for the race online!

Those who registered by May 9 will be provided one free Shamrock Shuffle t-shirt! We hope to see you there on June 7.
