The Salmon River Central School District is proud to announce the Class of 2026 valedictorian, Kamdon Mora-Williams, and salutatorian, Grayci George, two students whose high school journeys reflect academic excellence, leadership, and a strong commitment to their school community.
Valedictorian: Kamdon Mora-Williams
Kamdon Mora-Williams is a dedicated, compassionate, and driven student whose high school experience has made a lasting impact on those around him. Known for his strong sense of humor and ability to make others smile, Kamdon balanced academic success with meaningful involvement in school and community activities.
Throughout high school, Kamdon participated in soccer, band, National Honor Society, Student Council, and Yearbook Club, where he served as president. He also served as junior class president and dedicated time to community service through initiatives such as Shamrockin’ at the River, the Fort Covington Food Pantry, Read Across America, and Holiday Helpers.

For Kamdon, earning the title of valedictorian represents years of hard work and perseverance. He humbly acknowledges that many of his peers were equally deserving, reflecting both his character and respect for his classmates.
One of his proudest accomplishments was creating meaningful experiences that brought people together. In his college essay, Kamdon highlighted a project celebrating his heritage and Spanish culture within the school. Alongside his peers, he organized a cultural booth and partnered with a local baker to share tres leches cake with the student body, an experience that showcased both cultural pride and community connection.
Kamdon credits his success to a strong support system, including his family, friends, and influential educators such as retired English teacher John Rose, Dr. Kennedy, and Ms. Healy. Among his favorite memories are band trips to Six Flags and Crossgates Mall, where he built lasting connections with classmates.
After graduation, Kamdon plans to attend St. Lawrence University, where he has been awarded the prestigious Kirk Douglas Scholarship. He is considering majors in psychology or criminal justice and hopes to explore creative opportunities in the performing arts, including joining a comedy group.
Looking ahead, Kamdon hopes to make a positive impact on others, whether by brightening someone’s day or helping people on a deeper level through a future career in psychology. He encourages others to stay true to themselves and live life on their own terms, sharing, “Go through life the way you want to, if people aren’t living your life, then they shouldn’t be the ones controlling it.”

Salutatorian: Grayci George
Grayci George, the Class of 2026 salutatorian, is a hardworking and self-motivated student whose journey reflects resilience, independence, and a strong sense of purpose.
For Grayci, being named salutatorian is a reflection of consistently doing her best and staying committed to her goals. She takes pride not only in her academic achievements, but also in staying true to herself and not allowing outside influences to steer her away from her values or ambitions.
Throughout high school, Grayci was actively involved in National Honor Society, Mohawk Youth Health Ambassadors, and Sources of Strength, where she developed skills to support both herself and others. She also demonstrated strong leadership in athletics, serving as captain of the volleyball team during her senior year and lacrosse during both her junior and senior years.
Grayci credits her success to a forward-thinking mindset and the support of her mother, Alethea, whose encouragement inspired her to push herself both academically and personally. She values the kindness and support she experienced at Salmon River and emphasizes the importance of not making assumptions about others and maintaining perspective through challenges.
After graduation, Grayci plans to attend McGill University, where she will study architectural engineering while exploring her future career path within the field.
Looking ahead, Grayci hopes to make a positive impact by helping others in any way she can. She encourages others to surround themselves with genuine people, sharing, “Don’t hang out with people who only want to change you, true friends accept you for who you are.”
The district congratulates Kamdon Mora-Williams and Grayci George on their outstanding achievements and celebrates the lasting impact they have made on the Salmon River school community. The Salmon River Central School District looks forward to all they will accomplish in the future.
