Salmon River students recently celebrated Traditional Foods Week with special guest Tehawisoron Kenny Perkins & Katsitsionni Fox. Students learned about the cultural importance of corn and our heirloom seeds, and high school classes made baked corn bread, corn mush, boiled corn bread and corn soup.
Sources of Strength is a High School wellness promotion program that utilizes the strength of peer leaders. Sources of Strength students recently visited CKON Radio to record public service announcements about online mental health screening and suicide prevention.The public service announcements will be funded by St. Regis Mohawk Mental Health.
