District Shares Progress Update on Outside Investigation with School Community

The Board of Education shared a progress report at the February 11 meeting on the District’s outside investigation into allegations of student mistreatment.

The investigation is being led by Kate Reid, Member, Partner and Co-Chair of the School Practice Group at Bond Schoeneck and King PLLC. Since the firm was retained on January 13, more than 40 interviews have been conducted within the school community.

Ms. Reid previously provided a progress report to the Board of Education and attended last night’s meeting to discuss the current status of the investigation with the community.

“Our priority is to support a thorough investigation that serves the best interests of our school community”, said Jason Brockway, Board of Education President. “We appreciate everyone’s patience as this important work continues.”

The goal is to complete the investigation by the end of February, although the timeline may be adjusted as needed to ensure a thorough and comprehensive review.
