St. Regis Mohawk School was well-represented at the recent All-County Music Festival, hosted by

Salmon River Central School February 2nd and 3rd, with four students singing in the Treble Choir.

Fifth-grade students Phoebe Derouchie-Pyke, Kayianna King, Isabelle Sunday and Jaileigh

Karonhiakiaratas Back were selected by their Chorus teacher, Mr. Warren Potter, and joined with

students from each of the schools in northern Franklin County to form a choir of nearly eighty

vocalists. Under the direction of guest conductor, Heather Lovelace, the choir of student-musicians

from grades 5, 6 and 7 rehearsed for more than five hours on Friday and several more hours

Saturday, prior to performing in an afternoon concert. In all, some 220 students participated in a

program that also featured a Middle School Band and a High School Mixed Choir.

A video replay of the entire concert is available on Salmon River’s website, , or by

visiting the school’s Facebook page.
