National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) broadcasting portal

The Salmon River CSD has joined up with New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) using the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) broadcasting portal, NFHS Network.  This is a subscription-based video streaming platform used to broadcast nationwide public high school sports and events.  Previously, the rights to broadcast were contracted out to Time Warner Sports and Spectrum Sports which never offered their services in our region.
Currently, we are using the NFHS Network to broadcast the post-season fall sports to include Sectional, Regional, and State finals. Although most games will not be covered as it is area limited, other Districts are jumping on board to help contribute to the NFHS Network list of scheduled events.  A subscription to the NFHS Network provides unlimited access to any school’s broadcast of their scheduled online game/event.
For those of Salmon River, your subscription is also a fund raiser for the Varsity Athletic Club and of the AV Tech Program.  As with all post-season games, onsite attendance as a fan requires admission, thus not allowing any free, public broadcast of the event.  These events are now Pay-per-View, and can be either watched LIVE or using the Video On Demand up to 72 hours, after which it then becomes free to watch.  Events can be watched at NFHSNetwork on your device, computer, or certain SmartTVs.
For questions regarding the NFHS Network, please contact Mr. Bill Seward at BSeward@SRK12.org.
