Tomás and the Library Lady,

Character Trait = Acceptance |

Gage Bigtree from
the St. Regis Mohawk School choose October's Book of the Month. “I think that this book is to get children to read at their reading level so they can picture it in their head. “ “ It teaches acceptance where they both accepted each other with respect and politeness when they helped each other.” “ I really liked the pictures in the book because they had so much detail you would not need words to understand the book. I also liked the part where Tomás taught the library lady Spanish.” While helping his family in their work as migrant laborers far from their home, Tomás finds an entire world to explore in the books at the local public library. |
