Character Trait = Self-Discipline |
|
|
Lauren Cook choose this month's Book of the Month. She attends the St. Regis Mohawk School. “The character traits taught in this book are perseverance and also self-discipline. The tortoise keeps trying her best and she doesn’t give up. Some examples are when she passed all the pretty flowers. She wanted to stop and look at them but she kept going. She wasn’t going to lose the race. They taught this lesson because everyone has to try their best and never give up. The literary element is onomatopoeia. The illustrations are wonderful." |
