 The secondary school boasts an impressive, modern
well-maintained, energy efficient physical plant that provides a full
range of instructional and athletic opportunities for students. In
addition to these attributes the school houses an ice
arena, a new track and outside tennis courts,
The Salmon River Secondary School
features two computer labs plus computers in many rooms to help facilitate
online learning whenever possible. The high school library houses over 14,000 books and over ninety
magazine titles. The library is connected to the OPAC automated
on--line program that allows students to search the Mandarin system for
circulating publications. The secondary library can accommodate up to
sixty (60) people and offers interlibrary loans in order to better serve
teachers and students in the classrooms.
Salmon River
Secondary School provides plenty of opportunities for
students to become active in sports as well. The school sponsors both
boys and girls basketball, hockey, baseball, and softball. In addition
there are a wide variety of competitions in track and field, swimming,
and rifle. |
