Valedictorian 2019

Hannah Oliver is the daughter of John and Joni Oliver of Brushton. She will be earning an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors and and Mastery Designation in Science. Her cumulative high school grade point average is a 95.94.

Hannah has shown her leadership skills throughout the Salmon River Central School community in many ways. Hannah was the Vice President of the Drama Club her Junior and Senior year of high school. She just recently starred in the musical Willy Wonka Jr as Mrs. TV and her past roles include Sarabi in the Lion King Jr and General Arvide in Guys and Dolls Jr. Her talents also include two solo pieces in the NYSSMA competition for Chorus.

Hannah is proud to have won the University of Rochester Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Award for demonstrating leadership and dedication to community action. She indicated this through her participation in National Honors Society and currently holds the position of President this year and Vice President last year.

Hannah has not committed to a college at this time. She is deciding between Columbia University, Northeastern University and Stony Brook University. She is planning on studying Molecular Biology.

Salutatorian 2019

Jasmine Pyke is the daughter of Michael and Hilary Pyke of Hogansburg. She will be earning an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors and Master Designation in Math and Science. Her cumulative high school grade point average is a 94.00.

Jasmine is a skilled three-sport athlete. She took part in Soccer, Hockey, and Track and Field. Jasmine received the Section X Soccer Sportsmanship Award which was very special to her. Sports have been a considerable part of Jasmine’s life and receiving this award solidified all of the hard work she has put forth. She also played a role in this year’s musical, Willy Wonka Jr, in the vocal ensemble.

Jasmine has a strong presence in the Salmon River Central School Community by participating in the National Honors Society and currently holds the position of Treasurer. Jasmine is also in Mohawk Club, Sources of Strength, and The North Country Science and Technology Entry Program.

Jasmine will be attending Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and was accepted into the Doctor of Pharmacy Program.
