Distinguished guests, past graduates, and community members attended the
50th Anniversary and Rededication Ceremony  at Salmon River Central on May 25th.
There was an open house from  1-5 PM where people could tour the
campus building and see displays as well as various exhibits of the schools greatest achievements throughout its rich and diverse history.

Members of the 1958 Salmon River baseball team were honored in a brief ceremony held on the campus school's baseball diamond, as part of the school district's 50th anniversary celebration. Before a game between the current SR and St. Regis Falls baseball teams, the former players were given a commemorative, 50th Anniversary baseball cap and a baseball signed by each member of this year's baseball team.

A Purple Prince Flower Crab tree was planted to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Salmon River Central School.  There were several generations of FFA alumni in attendance, including present day members and several members of the 1958 FFA. Three generations of advisors were present: 1958 advisor, Dr. Soloman Cook, Bruce Bonesteel (who retired in 1996), and Danielle French.  Mr. Bonesteel gave a lesson on planting the tree and awarded the 3 young people who helped to dig the hole with blue spruce trees.  In addition, elementary music teacher Justin Hahn played his trombone throughout the ceremony.
